Once I found out about height adjustable desks I was sold on the idea of getting one for my workspace. About 6 months ago I purchased Geek Desk legs from Bonanzle and bought a desktop from IKEA. Having a desk that adjusts electronically in seconds from seated to standing height is irreplaceable for those long days at the computer. I'll never work in a cubicle again.

CONCORDIA ALUM AT THEIR BEAST

Concordia graduates Ben Steiger Levine, BA 02, (who was also responsible for Chromeo’s “Fancy Footwork”) and Sach Baylin-Stern, BA 06, (from NúFilms) produced and directed the music video for “Mr. Hurricane” by Montreal band Beast. The video has been nominated for Best Music Video of the year at the upcoming Grammy Awards in Los Angeles this month.

LIFE AS A FREELANCER

A few months back I came across the work of artist, illustrator, and comic creator N.C. Winters while surfing freelanceswitch.com. Freelance Freedom, a weekly comic strip by Winters, is uber-relatable for freelancers making a living through blood, sweat, tears & creativity (all the while working in their jammies).

I digress....Welcome to the sterile-looking restaurant Hospitalis in Riga, Latvia where patrons are treated like patients and taken care of by the leggy waitresses in nurse uniforms. The food is served in operating room trays and fittingly the restaurant is owned by local doctors.
